There was some good news for parents of disabled children today, as the Government announced that more than €1.5m is to be invested in a scheme which helps children with disabilities enter childcare.
The move which was announced by the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, will now see children with all range of disabilities being fully accepted in the free pre-school years.
The confirmation of the scheme will also see 18 new full time positions being created which will offer help and support to children parents.
Minister Katherine Zappone has said the scheme is hugely beneficial for children with disabilities.
