Government says they’re giving vaccine to must vulnerable to build confidence so that the uptake will increase

The government say that the most vulnerable in society will be receiving the new covid vaccine in an effort to create confidence in the public for an uptake of the vaccine to increase.

Meanwhile, the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has said that he thinks there will be a large uptake in the covid vaccination from February.

Varadkar thinks that there could be a slow uptake in the vaccine initially but that confidence will grow as more people get vaccinated.

As it stands, there will be no compulsory vaccination against covid in Ireland with the government saying that they have no plans to do so.
