The Government are set to introduce an eviction ban for the next six weeks as the country moves into Level 5 restrictions.
In an announcement the Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien announced that he is to bring forward legislation that will ban evictions until December 1st.
Speaking on Tuesday, O’Brien said he hopes to have the legislation before the Dail later this week before it is put before the Seanad.
O’Brien says he would like to see a legislation that will see an automatic ban being introduced as soon as the country moves into tighter restrictions.
