Government to meet today to decide what can and cannot open when Level 5 is lifted next week




The government is set to meet today to decide just what will and will not be allowed reopen following the lifting of Level 5 lockdown restrictions across the country.

It’s understood that there could be a three-phased reopening which could see the likes retail, hairdressers and Churches will be able to reopen immediately in a Level-3 scenario with the likes of hotels and pubs that sell food possibly reopening at a later date. It’s also understood that people will be required to stay within their county for the foreseeable and will able to leave their county for Christmas week only.

Nothing is certain at this point and as Micheal Martin, Leo Varadkar and Eamon Ryan meet to discuss the measures, anything can and more than likely will change as the morning goes on.
