Graham Linehan, the writing force behind the beloved sitcom Father Ted, is in a spot of bother again after being accused of bullying a 21-year-old critic via Twitter.

The issue arose after Linehan allegedly harassed a young university graduate for insulting one of his posts on Twitter.

The Twitter war began after the young student, whose Twitter ID is SidnellD, wrote: “Luckily I find it very easy to separate the person from their creations.” This post belonged to a thread of tweets criticising some of Linehan’s own posts.

Linehan retorted “daww. How about Jo? Is she proud of how you behave online? Doubt it.” This tweet had a picture of SidnellD and his mother attached to it. The photograph had been taken from the student’s Facebook account.

These tweets kickstarted a huge backlash against Linehan, with people accusing him of harassment and behaving in a ‘creepy’ way for trawling through SidnellD’s Facebook account to find pictures of him.

Linehan has been on the line of fire due to similar incidents in the past. He has been known to engage in internet and Twitter bullying and mocking antics time and time again.
