There was a tragic accident in Co Cork this afternoon which saw an elderly woman in her 70s die after she was struck by a truck.
The tragic road incident occurred in Wolfe Tone Square, Bantry, Co Cork at approximately midday today. Gardai say the body of the female pedestrian was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will take place, this evening.
