Green Day confirm Irish open-air gig for summer 2017





US rockers Green Day have announced they will play at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin June next.

The Grammy award winning rock band will perform their summer show on Thursday, 29 June, 2017 with special guests Rancid.

The announcement follows the release the band’s 12th studio album Revolution Radio this year which debuted at number one in Ireland.

Commenting on the announcement, MCD Productions said: “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and Grammy Award-winning rock band Green Day announce they will return to Dublin, June 29th 2017 at Royal Hospital Kilmainham with special guests Rancid (subject to licence).

“Fans attending are advised that there is no parking at the venue and to use public transport and city centre car parks.
“This is an over 18’s event, patrons are requested to respect the privacy and property of local residents.”

They have also announced an open air concert at Ormeau Park in Belfast on June 28, 2017.

Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday, December 2, costing €59.50.
