A group of men in have been praised by police after they stopped the attempted rape of 17-year-old girl and apprehend the suspect involved.
According to The Mirror newspaper, the men prevented the attack which occurred at a car park in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.
It is understood the group stopped the attack which occurred at approximately 10:35pm on Friday night, when the man approached the terrified teenager.
Police say the brave men then chased the suspect and apprehended him until they arrived at the scene.
They added that a 23-year-old man has been arrested and is being questioned in connection with the incident.
