A man has opened fire outside the headquarters of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in Moscow killing one person who has been identified as an employee of the intelligence agency.
The long gunman was killed shortly after he opened fire around 6PM local time but not before seriously injuring two FSB officers Russia Today reports.
The FSB HQ is an iconic building in the heart of Moscow just a few minutes’ walk from the Kremlin, an area popular with both locals and tourists.
So far, authorities are yet to state what they believe was the motive for the attack.
