According to reports in Sweden former Guns N’ Roses’ duo Slash and Axl Rose have apparently begun talking after they buried the hatchet over their differences.

The news comes after the bands world famous guitarist confirmed that he and the somewhat controversial singer Axl are now on talking terms during an interview with a Swedish Aftonbladet TV. During the extensive interview guitarist Slash said the reconciliation was “way overdue”, the announcement however has seemingly got many of the bands die hard fans believing that reunion could soon be on the horizon.
During the interview Swedish reporter told Slash: “I’ve heard that you’ve made friends with Axl Rose again,” to which Slash replied ‘yes we are’ the guitarist went onto explain: “It was probably way overdue, you know. But it’s…you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative … dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”

However the plucky reporter didn’t stop there as he asked whether or not the classic Guns N’ Roses lineup would ever reform, to which Slash replied: “Oh, I couldn’t answer that one, though. All right, let’s get off the subject, ’cause, you know, that’s an old one.” Although, earlier this year the guitarist responded differently saying”never say never” during an interview with an US TV network.

The duo have not been on speaking terms since Slash controversially left the back in 2010 after Axl told fans that he was a “clueless, loud mouthed, arrogant ****.”
