Some loose change invested on Lotto tickets yielded a mightily unexpected return for a young married couple from Drogheda.
After buying some groceries, the couple bought one line for the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws. They got lucky, and their line scooped last night’s Euromillions Plus top prize of 500,000.
The winning ticket was bought in Dunnes Stores, Colpe Cross, Drogheda, Co Louth.
The couple have decided to keep their identities private, and will take some time to think about what to do with their new wealth.
