The caretaker Minister for Health Simon Harris said that if the government make a decision to speed up things then it will only be done on the guidance provided by the Chief Medical Officer’s guidelines.
The government have issued a 5 step plan that will ease lockdown restrictions over two-week intervals, but Tony Holohan has said that nothing is definite and that restrictions may need to be reintroduced should coronavirus cases become widespread.
