People are very very angry after a defenceless woman got viciously attacked by a youth on a bike while she was walking in Dublin to meet her husband.
The woman works as an office cleaner and has been battling for her life since Thursday evening after she got stabbed in the neck for not handing money over to a thug on a push bike. People are demanding that justice be served and that the culprit gets thrown behind bars.
A woman on her way home from work was mugged at knifepoint by a thug on a bicycle near the CHQ Centre in Dublin City Centre late on Thursday night.
Her attacker demanded cash and during the attack the victim received a serious stab wound to her neck. The attacker fled the scene on his bike empty handed. The woman managed to call the emergency services and was taken to Dublin’s Mater Hospital for life saving surgery.
It’s understood that the victim is 48 years old, of Asian origin and is employed as an office cleaner. Gardai managed to find who they believe is the preparator, a 14-yr-old boy who remains in custody tonight and is being questioned in relation to the vicious random attack.
