“He was the wrong nationality, he was Irish” – Uproar on social media as yet another homeless person dies as the gov bend over backwards to house Ukrainians

People are furious at the fact that another Irish person died on our streets this week. They’re making the direct comparison that Irish people, in particular those who are homeless, appear to not matter to the government because they’re the wrong nationality – they’re Irish.

Alongside that, people are saying that if the man had been foreign and sought asylum in Ireland, he’d have been housed and given full medical card and social welfare payments.

People have called for action but little to none has happened.

It would seem that the government is far too obsessed with housing an endless number of Ukrainians and other foreign nationals who previously had absolutely no connection whatsoever to Ireland but now are given practically everything and anything they desire.

Meanwhile in Ireland 2022, a homeless man was found dead in a laneway just a few minutes walk from the Dail.

The body was found at Lad Lane in Dublin, just yards away from the Health Minister Stephen Donnelly’s office on Baggot Street.

A total of 115 people were found dead on Ireland’s streets in 2021, a figure that doubled that of 2019.

Meanwhile, refugees are being given preferential access to accommodation nationwide.
