Heartbreaking: Woman, 93, dies of broken heart syndrome after being subjected to a terrifying burglary




Police in the UK have sadly confirmed that a 93-year-old woman has died from broken heart syndrome after she was subjected to a terrifying burglary two months ago.

According to Sky News, the woman Betty Munroe from Northampton, sadly passed away on Wednesday August 21st.

Mrs Munroe was diagnosed with the condition after three men broke into her home on the 11th of June.

It is believed the group ransacked the woman’s home claiming that they were police officers.

The heartless thugs then stole a number of items including her purse and bank cards and all of her jewellery along with a gold chain which was around her neck – as well as a watch belonging to her late husband.

Sky News say the pensioner who experienced nightmares and fits of shaking was diagnosed with Takotsubo Syndrome shortly after the attack.

In a statement following her tragic passing Mrs Munroe’s family said they are deeply heartbroken and the circumstances surrounding her death has caused them deep sorrow.

They added that their mother was a perfectly happy woman who independently lived on her own home before the attack.

Meanwhile police investigating the incident have offered their condolences to Mrs Munroe’s family and have described the case as one of the sadest they’ve ever had to deal with.

They added that an investigation is currently ongoing and have urged anyone who may have any information to come forward and contact them.
