The homeless man who was found dead outside Galway City Hall on Monday morning has been named.
The body of 29-year-old Martin Carroll was found on the grounds of Galway City Hall early yesterday morning.
It is understood that Carroll was originally from Galway, and had been living rough for some time. Authorities do not suspect foul play.
The event prompted the Mayor of Galway to send a letter to Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy asking for assistance in resolving the homelessness situation around the Galway area.
