Police in the US are dealing with yet another school shooting, this time in Minneapolis.
According to the Metro, the two students were shot around midday outside of South Education Centre in Richfield. One student died at the scene while the other was taken to hospital and was said to be in a critical condition. Police are currently searching for the suspects who fled from the scene.
Police have expressed condolences to the shocked school community, which includes 200 students, some as young as prekindergartners. It provides special education programs and an alternative high school.
The school had previously been in the news when police were called in September after a male student was seen with a gun in his backpack and thankfully no-one was injured. The school recently removed metal detectors from its entrances and had initiated new methods of dealing with mental health issues among students.
