Met Eireann has issued its weather forecast for the coming weekend, and it doesn’t look good at all.
According to the national forecaster, there’s a lot of rain and even snow on the way.
The first half of today, Thursday, will remain relatively dry and bright, but a band of heavy rain will arrive from the northwest by evening, spreading across Leinster and Munster throughout the night.
Friday is expected to be bright but rather cold, with some showers of rain and sleet. Northern areas will see the worst of the weather. Snow is also likely across places in Ulster.
Saturday and Sunday are looking like wet, blustery days, with some bright spells but frequent outbreaks of rain too, and temperatures reaching 12C at best.
