The grim trend of road deaths continues today, after a 60-year-old woman sadly lost her life in a collision yesterday evening.
The incident happened near Claremorris, Co. Mayo, at around 9pm last night.
The car that the woman was driving collided with a tractor. She sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, but sadly passed away a short time later.
The driver of the tractor, a man in his 50s, was not injured.
