A man has had his hand cut off during a street attack in Essex in England. The man in his 20s was attacked in the town of Loughton by a group of three or four men on Friday night. Police were called to the scene near NUbar at around 11.30pm.
A suspect was arrested around 10minutes after the attack following a short foot chase. The 30-year-old man from Grays, Essex, is currently being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder. A large knife was recovered from the scene. The victim is currently recovering in hospital as police hunt for the other men involved in the assault. He suffered serious knife wounds which left him in a “life-changing condition”, Essex Police said.
It is believed they left the area in a black Audi A8. The Audi was found on Saturday morning having been set ablaze in Waltham Abbey.
