The UN has shockingly revealed that as many as 10 children have been abducted and killed in Tanzania this month.
It is believed that the killings which is linked to witchcraft rituals and superstition which are said to be of popular belief in some regions of the country.
According to reports, the remains of the children aged between two and ten were found near bushes in Njombe region.
Police investigating the murders say the children have been found with a number of organs including tongues, ears and genitals removed.
It is believed that albinos are targeted as they lack pigments in their skin, hair and eyes.
The UN who have condemned the murders say many who believe in the superstition purposely kill their victims and chop off their limbs believing that they will bring them good luck and wealth.
Authorities investigating the killings say they have yet to arrest anyone in connection with the killings, but say they are continuing to gather evidence and have identified some possible suspects.
