A horse has sadly died after it was found impaled in a fence in Co Limerick on Tuesday.
According Limerick Animal Welfare (LAW), the horse was found in great distress on Tuesday morning at approximately 8:30am.
In a post on their Facebook page, Limerick Animal Welfare, said they believe the horse in question was left in the difficult and distressing position before the incident was reported to them.
They added that unfortunately the horse could not be saved despite receiving veterinary care on Tuesday morning.
It is understood Limerick Animal Welfare decided to post the distressing images as they are receiving more and more calls in recent weeks informing them of horses being left in distressing and cruel situations.
