A large number of customers were evacuated from the well known Clerys department store in Dublin after smoke was seen billowing from the store’s basement.
Everyone was evacuated sucessfully, and the Dublin Fire Brigade was soon in attendance.
No sign of fire was detected, however, so customers were allowed to re-enter the store ten minutes later.
