The US State of Florida is on high alert this morning as Hurricane Dorian makes its way ever closer.
The State which is expected to bare the brunt of the storm in the coming days have been advised to put major emergency protocols in place.
According to reports in the US, the potentially fatal hurricane has been upgraded to a category 4 storm.
It is expected that winds exceeding 130mph will hit the sunshine State by early as Sunday.
A number of residents in the State have been advised to prepare for the worst and they have been told that they may need to evacuate their homes once the hurricane makes landfall.
