I’m doing a great job: Roderic O’Gorman says he has ‘no issue’ taking on Integration Minister role in next government

According to Roderic O’Gorman, he would “never have any problem” continuing in the position of Minister of Integration under the incoming administration, reports Breaking News.

Politicians from the opposition have alleged that Mr. O’Gorman has been “isolated” from Cabinet colleagues despite handling immigration-related matters in his prominent position.

He is also in charge of a number of additional duties related to the Department of Children, Equality, Integration, and Youth, reports Breaking News.

When asked if the portfolio was a top priority for the Greens, leader Eamon Ryan responded that the party had been “centre stage in this Government” and that he was happy that his colleague held the position.

Mr Ryan said: “It’s very challenging. You wouldn’t want to have such a huge task, but I’m very glad Roderic O’Gorman is in that seat and addressing all the aspects of that department,” reports Breaking News.

He added: “I would take it up tomorrow. You don’t walk away from hard tasks,” reports Breaking News.
