In the money – Dundalk’s recent European exploits earns them a sum that is equivalent to almost 30 League Of Ireland titles!

Dundalk FC are becoming the talk of Europe after their recent exploits, but the County Louth club will soon be financially leaps and bounds ahead of their League of Ireland counterparts as their remarkable achievements on the pitch is beginning to quite literally pay off.

The lilywhites’ who are amazing Europe’s elite on the pitch are becoming a force not to be underestimated, and now it seems their recent success is building up their bank balance too. After a remarkable Champions League run that secured Europa League qualification the league of Ireland champions could be set to receive a staggering €7m+ already, and could earn even more if they manage to qualify form the group stages.

The sum which is not considered all that in much modern footballing terms could very well setup a very bright future for Dundalk, given that it would take them to win almost 30 league of Ireland titles to achieve the figures they managed to claim in just over two months alone.

Although their European exploits are far from over Dundalk are seriously in the money as last night’s historic win guaranteed them the pretty sum of €360,000 in prize-money, combined with the €120,000 they received for the hard earned draw with Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, and with at least four games remaining who knows what could be in store financially come December and maybe even beyond.

Even though their terrific performances on the pitch has garnered respect from everyone across the land, no one can deny that the financial success that comes with it isn’t deserved given the fact the club nearly went bust just a few years ago. Here is hoping that further success awaits Dundalk and those recent exploits puts Irish football firmly back on the map.

Well done Dundalk FC!
