The next Budget 2025 is expected to include announcements about increased child benefits, social welfare bonus payments, and energy credits, reports The Mirror.
On October 1, the €8.3 billion package will be revealed. A more distinct image of the cost-of-living adjustments that will be included is beginning to take shape as budget day draws near, according to Dublin Live. The bonus lump sum payments that are anticipated to be included in Budget 2025 are shown below.
Energy credits up to €250 are being considered by the government, while a final decision on the amount has not yet been made, reports The Mirror.
Speaking last week on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, Tánaiste Micheal Martin promised that the credits will be paid out this year but was unable to specify whether one or two will be included in the budget.
Social welfare beneficiaries should anticipate receiving bonus payments right away when the budget is announced in October. The Irish Examiner was notified by a senior government source that these cash increases will be given out in October, immediately following the release of the budget, reports The Mirror.
It’s also anticipated that the Christmas bonus will return this year.
This year, parents should anticipate receiving the double child benefit payment in December. This is another anticipated return of the perk.
Though it hasn’t been approved, a €10 monthly increase to the program is also being discussed for the upcoming budget, reports The Mirror.
