Intel workers here in Ireland are anxiously waiting to hear whether or not their jobs will be safe, after the company’s announcement that its Irish operations would be ‘impacted.’
Staff at Intel’s Leixlip plant in Kildare fear that they will bear the brunt of the cuts, with up to 400 jobs likely to be lost.
It is understood that there will be staff briefings ongoing today, but it will be at least tomorrow before full details emerge.
