Investigation continues after man aged in his 30s gets seriously injured and hospitalised following alleged assault in Dublin

A man has been seriously hurt following an alleged assault on Portobello Road, Dublin 8, on Wednesday, reports The Mirror.

The incident reportedly took place around 6.10pm, and the man was taken to St. James’s Hospital for treatment, reports The Mirror.

Although his injuries are considered serious, they are not thought to be life-threatening at this stage.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward, reports The Mirror.

Authorities are particularly asking anyone who was in the Portobello Road area between 5.30pm and 6.30pm and may have information to contact the investigating Gardaí.

Anyone with relevant camera footage, including mobile phone or dash-cam recordings, is also urged to make it available, reports The Mirror.
