The terrible discovery of an 11-yr-old girl’s body in France has prompted a murder inquiry, reports The Mirror.
Louise Lasalle, a native of Essone in northern France, vanished on Friday after last being seen at around 1:50 p.m. local time departing André-Maurois Middle School in Épinay-sur-Orge.
Louise’s sister posted a frantic cry for assistance on social media after she vanished, and her anxious parents alerted the police.
Her sister wrote on social media: “My little sister Louise Lassalle disappeared at 2pm near Andre Maurois college in Epinay. She went through the Bas Follet trail. She had a purple backpack with a butterfly on it and a navy blue coat. She [had] a large white bandage on her chin too,” reports The Mirror.

Sadly, Louise’s corpse was discovered early on Saturday near the wooded area near her school, marking the end of the hunt. Since then, authorities have focused their attention on the forested Parc des Templiers, which is about half a mile from the school where her corpse was discovered.
CCTV footage showed the little girl making her way to the park before she vanished, according to French news agency Le Parisien. According to the Mirror, a comprehensive search was launched to find her, including the use of specialised police dogs, drones, and a helicopter, reports The Mirror.
According to MailOnline, public prosecutor Grégoire Dulin has acknowledged that “an investigation into the murder of a minor has been opened” and is currently being managed by the Versailles division, which is responsible for fighting organised and specialist crime.
In order to determine the schoolgirl’s cause of death, an autopsy is planned. According to police, a 23-year-old male and his 20-year-old partner were arrested after being seen on CCTV, reports The Mirror.
