Police have arrested nearly 150 people in the French capital after groups of Paris St-Germain fans rioted following their team’s 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in last night’s Champions league final, the BBC reports.

Crowds of PSG supporters had gathered at the city’s iconic Champs-Elysees boulevard and the club’s Parc des Princes stadium where the match was played on large screens. Disorder erupted when it became clear that Bayern Munich were taking home the trophy, with cars torched and businesses damaged.

It is the sixth Champions League victory for the German club, and PSG would have been the first French club to win had they succeeded.
