Police in the North have confirmed that an investigation is underway following the death of a child over the weekend.
According to BBC News, the investigation comes after the child died in Fernagh Drive, Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, on Sunday.
It is understood that police are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination in order to determine the course of their investigation.
They added that no further information will be released at this time.
