Police in the North have confirmed that they have launched a murder investigation after man was shot dead on Tuesday evening.
It is understood that the investigation comes after a man was shot on the Cliftonville Road, in Belfast at approximately 8:15pm.
Police investigating the say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
They added that a murder investigation is now underway and they are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area to come forward and contact police with information.
