An investigation is underway after a section of the memorial wall at Glasnevin Cemetery was damaged by vandals.
It is understood the investigation comes after the wall which honours those who died during the 1916 Rising.
Gardaí say a section of the wall which contained the names of British solicitors was damaged with sledgehammer.
It is believed that the act of vandalism was carried between the hours of 3am and 4am on Tuesday morning.
The Glasnevin Trust say they are currently assisting Gardaí with their investigation.
