Investigative journalist Gemma O’Doherty holds protest at Dublin’s Google HQ over censorship of criticism of globalism

Independent investigative journalist Gemma O’Doherty, supported by the Irish Yellow Vest movement staged a peaceful protest at Google’s European HQ in Dublin on Tuesday.

The demonstration called on Google to respect freedom of speech and restore Ms O’Doherty’s YouTube channel which has been censored. Google being Youtube’s parent company.

Ms O’Doherty called on the head of Google Ireland, Fionnuala Meehan, to meet with her and cease the censorship of her channel, which she claims has been targeted because she has spoken out against globalism and Silicon Valley’s bias and suppression of free of speech.

O’Doherty called on Google to respect the freedom of speech of Irish citizens which she stated have allowed Google to operate in this country and make huge profits.

The outspoken journalist also spoke out on Google’s practice of “importing” non-Irish citizens to be used as cheap labour for the tech giant in Ireland.

In closing Ms O’Doherty called on people to join her protest against Google’s policy of censorship and uphold Irish people’s “basic freedoms”.
