A professor of Immunology at University College Cork has suggested people who have been fully vaccinated could meet up in “VAX PODS.” This would only allow for fully vaccinated people to socialise and have free movement within Irish society reports Breakingnews.ie.
His suggestion would mean that non-vaccinated people would continue to have their movements restricted until they chose or were coerced into taking the mRNA vaccines.
Professor Liam Fanning said there should also be county by county restrictions as the virus “was not everywhere.”
County Cork had fewer than 5 cases per 100,000 which effectively meant that the virus was being suppressed.
“It’s time for autonomy to be returned to individuals. Let them make evidence based assessments.” he said.
