Ireland scores another shameful low, after report reveals that internet speeds here are roughly the same as in Morocco and Armenia

Ireland’s ‘broadband’ network is going nowhere fast -or slow, rather-, after a new report revealed that internet speeds across the country are comparable to those achieved in Morocco and Armenia, while trailing far behind countries such as Norway and Canada, for example.

The report, produced by privacy protection company Surfshark, set out to gauge the ‘digital quality of life’ worldwide. Unsurprisingly, Ireland did not fare that well, ranking at number 46 out of 65 countries evaluated.

And Ireland did not score highly in terms of affordability of broadband packages, either, ranking at 40 out od 65.

Iceland topped the chart of fastest mobile internet speed, followed by Norway and Canada.
