Dublin’s Dun Laoghaire is set to become home to Ireland’s first floating sauna, with plans to launch the facility next year, reports Breaking News.
The sauna will be based on a pontoon within the harbour and will feature a plunge pool and changing rooms, following a call for tenders issued by the local authority.
Speaking to Newstalk, Mikolaj Piotrowski from Helios Sauna said they were selected over several other applicants to operate the new site, reports Breaking News.
“People will be able to come down the steps in Dun Laoghaire harbour and step onto a pontoon and then enter the floating sauna. So yeah, it’ll be fully on the water. It’s like a mini boat,” reports Breaking News.
