Irish children’s hospital makes €7,000 every week from parking fees paid by distressed parents of sick children

In what can only be described as truly shameful, the taxpayer-funded Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin 12 makes a massive €7,000 every week from distressed parents of sick children, reports Dublin Live.

Whilst there are some concession for parents of long stay children and staff, the private operators of the parking service at the hospital, Children’s Health Ireland reported receiving fees of €367,652 last year.
Children’s Health Ireland is listed as a charity and comprises of the three children’s hospitals at Tallaght, Crumlin and Temple Street.

The majority of these fees would most likely been paid by parents of sick children as hospital visitors were banned for most of last year.
