The Irish Coast Guard gave issued a warning to the public as winds are expected to remain strong following Storm Lorenzo.
In a warning posted on their Twitter, the Coast Guard urged the public to stay away exposed beaches, high cliffs and harbours.
The warning comes after the Coast Guard were called out to rescue a kitesurfer who got into difficulties off the coast of Co Wexford on Thursday.
Although the brunt of the storm well pass over Ireland, strong gale force winds are expected through the morning.
