Irish navy praised after they rescue another 140 migrants off the Libyan coast




The Irish Navy has once again been praised for their efforts after they rescued over 140 migrants in the Mediterranean this morning.

The crew onboard the naval LÉ Samuel Beckett located rescued the migrants’ after they got into difficulties whilst onboard their rubber vessel off the Libyan coast.

The latest rescue brings the total to almost 3000 migrants rescued by the vessel since it was deployed to the area in September.
