It has recently revealed that households who hope to claim the water conservation grant will have to undertake a second registration process later this year.

The Government have announced   that those wishing to get the €100 euro grant must register with Irish water before the June 30th deadline. However in order to get the grant, the applicant must undertake a second registration process with the Department of Social Protection in August, before payment begins in September.

The government say that a dedicated website and call centre will be setup to assist people who wish to avail of the grant.
