A Guinness-crazed man who gained notoriety for boasting that he consumed 81 PINTS in a single weekend has dismissed critics who called him “moronic” for endangering his life, arguing he wasn’t even suffering from a hangover, reports The Mirror.
Nearly 10,000 people liked and shared Sean Bryan’s Facebook post announcing the “dangerous” stunt, prompting hundreds of social media users to denounce the actions.
According to the 33-year-old, he started drinking at his neighbourhood pub at 1 pm on Friday, December 29. He continued for the next two days, finishing his 81st pint at 9 pm on New Year’s Eve, and went to bed before midnight, reports The Mirror.
Sean stated he spent a phenomenal €400 on beer during the three days and claims Guinness is his favourite alcoholic beverage.
Sean, from Kilkenny in Ireland, said: “I don’t think it’s dangerous to do on the odd occasion but if you were doing it week by week it would be. But as it was a one off and because it was Christmas, [it was okay] and I don’t really ever count calories. I started drinking on Friday December 29th and I had my first Guinness at about 1pm in the local pub,” reports The Mirror.
