The Department Of Foreign Affairs have confirmed the tragic news that an Irishman has been killed after an explosion at a shopping centre in Australia.
It is believed that the man was killed when a transformer suddenly exploded in the Galleria Shopping Centre in Morley a suburb of Perth. Australian police say that two people, including the Irish national, were tragically killed in the blast and that several others were injured.
The Department of Foreign Affairs have also said they have contacted the man’s family about his death and they are providing counseling assistance.
