Islamic extremist Khalid Kelly (48) recently rang the Chris Barry show to warn of increased ISIS activity in the country. Kelly went as far as saying that Irish peacekeeping troops serving in the Golan Heights should join ISIS militants as they would “then be on the right side”.

Gardai contacted the show afterwards to probe the claims, requesting the show’s recordings.

Kelly is known to the authorities here. He is a former Catholic altar boy from inner-city Dublin who converted to Islam while imprisoned in Saudi Arabia in 2000.

He has previously and very openly voiced his support for a raft of fundamentalist groups worldwide.

During the interview with Chris Barry, Kelly said that the journalist being publicly beheaded by ISIS are nothing but “spies.”
