Two male teenagers sadly lost their lives when the car they were travelling in hit a wall in Co. Down. The collision then sparked a fire at an oil tank which in turn spread to a property nearby.
A third person in the vehicle was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Separately, a 25-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car at around 4am near Barnadarrig, Ballybunion, Co. Kerry.
The driver of the car was also injured in the incident and was taken to Tralee General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
