This is according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development who carried out a study of education systems in over students in 30 countries.

The results of the study concluded that students who use computers during school time tend to fare worse academically than students who don’t use technology as much.

Any school that had put substantial funding into communication and information technology had shown no dramatic improvement in students’ work.

The OECD is now calling on parents, teachers and students  to think about whether the investment was a good idea.

The study has shown that using the technology in class may be actually harmful for the students.

Other results display that countries that did not invest as much had a bigger improvement in student achievements.
