Convicted killers Tom and Molly Martens might be released on bail today.
The pair were convicted of bludgeoning Limerick man Jason Corbett to death as he slept at his home in North Carolina on August 2, 2015. His two children were in another room in the house as this happened.
The Martens were charged with second-degree murder and sentenced to between 20-25 years in jail each. But recently, they won a legal challenge to their original trial and were granted a retrial.
It recently emerged that the Martens had been offered a plea deal, which might grant them the possibility of getting out of jail on bail.
