In response to the outlandish conspiracy theories that have been circulating since missing adolescent Jay Slater’s abduction, friends of the missing kid have fired back at trolls, dubbing them “drug mules,” reports The Mirror.
After leaving a rave in Tenerife by vehicle with two British males, the 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, spent the night in an Airbnb in the heart of a remote community before going missing. This was Jay’s first international trip ever.
His last known location was the tourist resort of Los Cristianos, where he was staying with pals Lucy Law and Brad Hargreaves. He was last heard from early on Monday, June 17. However, Jay has not been seen since, even after a massive two-week search effort, reports The Mirror.
Brad Hargreaves, his closest friend who travelled with him, has now hit back against unfounded rumours calling him a “drug mule” as he turned to Instagram to clarify.
The teenager wrote: “Thinkin’ I’m involved in it all is beyond me. We’ve been mates for years, came on our first holiday together and unfortunately, this has happened. We ain’t drug mules or whatever… people need to know the facts before talking s*** on the internet…,” reports The Mirror.
