Jennifer under pressure as 520 people are waiting for beds across the country




A total of 530 people are on trolleys in hospitals nationwide on Monday, figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) show.

Of those, 387 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while a further 143 are located in wards elsewhere in hospitals, reports Breaking News.

University Hospital Limerick recorded the highest number of patients on trolleys, with 63 people without an available bed.

This included 29 people waiting in the emergency department and 34 patients elsewhere in the hospital, reports Breaking News.

At Cork University Hospital, 53 patients were without a bed, including 46 people in the emergency department.

University Hospital Galway had 52 patients on trolleys, with 37 of those waiting in the emergency department, reports Breaking News.
